What to Expect When Working with Senior Care at Home

Senior care team meeting with an older couple during a home health care consultation in Oklahoma City

Giving New Meaning to Assisted Living

Our consultative process fills the gaps in home health care, allowing Oklahoma City-area seniors to live well at home through relationship-based care, guided by medical oversight.

While independent living may never look the same, our care protects our clients’ dignity and safety, helps them feel in control, and provides an improved quality of life.

Our Process

Navigating senior care options can be daunting. Our process allows us to address your loved one’s needs and care concerns while explaining how we help. We’ll take as much time as you need and help you decide if home care is right for your situation.

01

Get Started

Give us a call for a preliminary consultation. We’ll gather information about your loved one’s situation, and discuss some options. Most people feel a sense of relief just making the call and knowing help is available. When you’re ready to get started with home care services, we’ll schedule an in-home consultation with one of our RN Care Managers. This meeting helps us assess your loved one’s physical and mental status, gather health information, and learn about their daily routine and preferences. We want to get to know your loved one and develop a comprehensive care plan to meet their needs. Every person is different. Our customized care plans help ensure that our in-home care service is personalized and tailored to meet your specific needs. We’ll also be available to answer all of your questions and address any concerns you may have.

02

Match with a Caregiver

A good match is a top priority to help ensure both our clients’ as well as our caregivers’ comfort levels and satisfaction. We consider skills and experience required as well as personality characteristics and personal interests and preferences. We are very intentional about this process because we have a vested interest in a successful long-term relationship.

Our caregivers are professionals. We are selective in our hiring, and we invest in ongoing training and supervision to help ensure our team delivers exceptional care.

03

Starting Service

Once we establish a start of care date and confirm your caregiver, your care manager will set up a time to introduce your team. We review your care plan and schedule with your caregiver prior to bringing them to your home as part of their orientation. We will check in with you as well as your caregiver after a few days to hear your feedback and address any concerns. After a few days getting acclimated, usually our clients tell us things are better than they expected. Our goal is to make your life easier while we promote independence and quality of life.

Our process is thorough, and our standards are high. We find that an investment of time and resources up front results in a better long-term relationship with you and your family!

Through the duration of your service with us, we will be by your side. Your care team including caregivers, care manager, and staffing coordinator are available to support you, answer questions, adjust your schedule, and update your care plan as your needs may evolve.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we get started with your assisted living services?

Getting started is simple. We begin with a complimentary consultation to learn more about your loved one’s needs, preferences, and goals. From there, we create a personalized assisted living plan designed to support safety, comfort, and independence at home. Then we carefully match your loved one with a trained caregiver and schedule services at your convenience.

Our process starts with a detailed in-home assessment. We evaluate physical health, mobility, cognitive needs, medication routines, and daily living activities. This allows us to recommend the appropriate level of support, whether that’s companionship, personal care assistance, or more comprehensive care.

If we believe your loved one may benefit more from traditional assisted living or another setting, we will guide you honestly through those options as well.

Understanding the differences can help families make confident decisions:

  • Home care provides personalized care services in the comfort of your loved one’s own home.
  • Assisted living offers housing with limited on-site support for daily activities in a community setting.
  • Independent living is designed for seniors who can live on their own but want the convenience of a senior-focused community.

Our goal is to help families determine whether aging in place with home care is the best fit, or if another option may better meet long-term needs.

We carefully screen, background check, and train every caregiver before matching them with a client. We consider personality, experience, skill set, and compatibility to ensure your loved one feels comfortable and respected.

Our process is built around consistency and trust because relationships matter in home health care.

Yes. Care needs often change, and our process is designed to be flexible. We regularly check in with families and adjust services as needed. When your loved one requires additional support, we help you navigate each step.

Absolutely. Many families struggle with this decision. We provide honest guidance based on safety, medical needs, and budget. If our in-home assisted living services can safely support your loved one we’ll build a plan to make that possible.

We maintain ongoing supervision, caregiver oversight, and regular communication with families. Our team follows established care protocols and prioritizes dignity, respect, and personalized attention in every care plan.

Not at all. While some clients require medical-related support, many simply need help with daily tasks, mobility, companionship, or household routines. Our assisted living services can provide the right level of assistance while allowing seniors to maintain as much independence as possible.

We focus on personalized care, not one-size-fits-all solutions. From the first phone call to ongoing check-ins, our process is centered around listening, educating, and guiding families with compassion. Our goal is to give you clarity and confidence in every decision.
