Senior Care At Home is seeking a customer service-oriented person with experience in staffing and scheduling to join our growing team. We are a locally owned home care agency helping seniors live well at home. The staffing coordinator has primary responsibility for placement and ongoing scheduling of caregivers who serve our elderly clients in their homes. This role contributes to the company’s success by nurturing and retaining qualified direct care staff.
Qualifications
- Experience in staffing and scheduling required. Experience in health services, human resources, or other relevant capacity is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to connect with, encourage, and influence people.
- Fluent and comfortable using software for data entry, file management, scheduling, and reporting.
- Self-motivated and goal-driven
- Able to work autonomously, managing time and priorities, as well as work effectively as part of a team.
- An innovative spirit, willing to contribute to improving efficiency, building employee morale, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Comfortable working in a small office environment with high accountability.
Essential Functions and responsibilities
- Build rapport and positive working relationships with care staff.
- Collaborate regularly with office team regarding staffing capacity and qualifications to meet client requirements
- Manage client/caregiver scheduling, including coordinating schedule changes with clients and employees, filling open shifts, and ensuring accuracy of schedule and related data.
- Enroll employees in training and monitor progress.
- Develop and implement employee/client care programs (employee recognition, rewards, performance reviews, employee benefits).
- Participate in caregiver hiring process. May conduct interviews and collaborate on hiring decisions. Participate in new employee orientation.
- Some clerical and administrative responsibilities relevant to the staffing coordinator role.
- Some on-call/after-hours responsibilities, including occasional weekends.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience
- Proficient in MS Office and Google productivity applications
- Ability to read, write, clearly speak and understand English
- High school diploma, college degree preferred, relevant certifications considered
- Two professional references
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
- Proof of eligibility to work in U.S.
- No criminal conviction which bars employment. Must pass criminal background check.
